Celtic Whisky Distilleur

The Breton distillery founded in 1997 by Martine and Jean Donnay, a former-adman couple who began maturing Scotch in Brittany before installing their own open-fire copper stills at a 1668 farmhouse on Pleubian's Wild peninsula. Its unpeated Glann ar Mor and heavily peated Kornog (50 ppm) mature in damp cellars a few metres from the sea. Owned by Maison Villevert since 2020, with Aël Guégan as master distiller and output more than doubled.
