The signature of Nikka's founding distillery: a no-age-statement single malt distilled on direct-coal (karu) stills and matured mostly in bourbon and sherry casks. Mildly peated, smoky and saline from the Ishikari Bay breeze; candied citrus and liquorice on the nose, a long woody, smoky finish. The most Scottish face of Japanese whisky.
