The Tyrconnell 10 YO Port Cask Finish

A 10-year-old Irish single malt, double distilled from 100% malted barley at the Cooley Distillery. It matures in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and finishes for 6 to 8 months in port casks, adding layers of ripe red fruit and a hint of ash to the spirit's herbal character. Sweet and fruity on the nose with vanilla, cereal grains and tart cranberry notes. The palate is dry and sweet at once, with vanilla, brown sugar and fruit concentrate. A smooth, medium finish of fruit and toffee. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration.
