The seventh and final edition of The Whiskymaker's Reserve, the flagship series of the English distillery The Lakes (Cumbria), in which whiskymaker Dhavall Gandhi pushes sherry maturation to its limit: Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and red wine combined over Spanish and American oak, non-chill-filtered and uncoloured, bottled at 52%. A dense nose of Christmas cake, Seville orange, dark chocolate and toasted almond; plums, fig, blackcurrant, caramel and spice on the palate, with an oily texture; a long finish of rancio, oak and chocolate. 52%, 700 ml.
