McConnell's Sherry Cask

An Irish blend from the historic Belfast brand McConnell's, revived in 2020. The base blend spends five years in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and finishes for eight months in Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration. Nose of dried figs, dark chocolate and lingering spice. A palate of demerara sugar, dark cherries and black fruits over vanilla and oak. A long finish of toasted oak, a touch of leather and clove.
