McConnell's Distillery

The distillery of the Belfast Distillery Company, owned by businessman John Kelly, which revived the historic Belfast whisky brand born in 1776. Housed in A-Wing of the former Victorian prison of Crumlin Road, now a distillery, it opened in April 2024 with capacity to produce up to 500,000 litres of pure alcohol a year. It continues the Northern Irish capital's distilling tradition, working for now with spirits from third parties while its own production matures.
