Description
North America's first single malt, distilled on Cape Breton Island (Nova Scotia) at Glenora. Created in 1990 by Bruce Jardine, it became 'North America's first single malt whisky', and the Rare 10 Year Old was its first expression, released in 2000. About two and a half years of initial maturation plus over seven years resting in American oak bourbon casks, unpeated, in the Atlantic maritime climate. Caramel, fruit and a saline touch on the nose; toffee, vanilla and apple on the palate; a medium, sweet and soft finish. 43%, 750 ml.
