The English Whisky Co

England's first whisky distillery in over a century, founded by James Nelstrop in 2006 in Roudham, Norfolk, opened by the then Prince of Wales in 2007, and still run by his son Andrew. Its easy, creamy house style comes from Norfolk barley, long fermentations and Forsyths copper stills; its Original, matured solely in ex-bourbon, was the first legal English whisky of the modern era. The St George's name gave way to The English Distillery in 2024.
