Sliabh Liag Distillers

A family-owned distillery founded by James and Moira Doherty on the Atlantic coast of Donegal — the county's first legal distillation in 175 years. Its Ardara distillery opened its doors in 2022, small-batch, gently distilling single malts, grain and pot still whiskey while also working with local wood and fruit. From it comes the Silkie brand, honouring the seal legends of the Donegal coast, with hand-bottled releases.
