Mackmyra Svensk Whisky

Sweden's first single malt distillery, founded by eight friends in 1999 in Valbo, near Gävle, flying the flag for Swedish barley, water and oak. After the 2024 bankruptcy it reopened the same autumn under new ownership and still distills in its famous vertical Gravity Distillery. Its Svensk Ek, using oak from the island of Visingsö, defines the house style.
