Lindores Abbey

A Lowlands distillery set beside the ruins of Lindores Abbey in Fife, recognised as the site of the earliest written record of Scotch whisky distillation in 1494. Reopened in 2017 by the McKenzie Smith family, it crafts a single malt from local barley, a long fermentation, and its distinctive "sister" spirit stills.
