Kaikyo Distillery

The distillery with which the sake house Akashi Sake Brewery steps into whisky, opened in 2017 at the foot of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge — the world's longest suspension bridge — in Akashi, Hyogo. Its stills produce Hatozaki whisky and 135° East gin. A young, craft operation maturing in ex-bourbon, sherry and mizunara casks.
