Hakushu Distillery

Suntory's malt distillery set in the forests of the Southern Alps at the foot of Mount Kaikoma (Yamanashi), over 700 metres above sea level. Established in 1973, half a century after Yamazaki, it is one of the highest distilleries in the world. Its pure, soft-mineral spring water gives the house a fresh, herbal, gently smoky character — Hakushu's green signature.
