Macaloney's An Loy Canadian Island Single Malt

Macaloney's Island Distillery's (Saanichton, near Victoria, Vancouver Island, Canada) flagship single malt. 'An Loy' means 'the flame' in Gaelic. Double-distilled, uncoloured and non-chill filtered, it matures in a cask mix of first-fill ex-bourbon and other French-oak uses (red wine STR, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez). Apple, citrus, malt and a spicy base on the nose; a creamy honey, pear and ginger palate. Launched as 'Glenloy' in 2020, it holds gold as Best in Canada at the 2022 World Whiskies Awards. 46%, 700 ml.
