High Coast's flagship peated single malt and the lead expression of the Origins series: a natural-colour, unchill-filtered NAS at 48% that blends a mostly unpeated spirit accelerated in 40-litre Hungarian and Swedish oak casks and finished more than six years in ex-bourbon, with a core of straight ex-bourbon and a final touch of Hungarian oak. Maritime in character: a fruity, spicy nose of clove, nutmeg, fresh oak and light peat smoke; pear, green apple, apricot, pale honey and toasted almond on the palate with a saline edge; a medium-long finish of oak, vanilla and soft coastal smoke. 48%, 700 ml.
