Forty Creek Barrel Select

Forty Creek's (Grimsby, Ontario) signature three-grain blend: rye, barley and corn distilled separately and aged on their own before being married, when each component is between 6 and 10 years old. The heart is matured in ex-bourbon and new American white oak, then the whole receives a ~6-month sherry finish. Caramel, dried fruit and ripe fruit on the nose; a soft caramel, toffee and spice palate; a warm, enveloping finish. 40%, 750 ml.
