Whisky Rittenhouse Straight Rye 100 Proof

Bold and aromatic in flavour. Rye whiskies must contain a minimum of 51% rye in the mashbill, making it considerably more spiced. The name 100 proof refers to the American proof scale (divide by two for the ABV equivalent). ABV: 50% Nose: a smooth toasted rye note dominates with hints of honey, oak, pipe tobacco and caramel. Palate: spiced with a touch of honey underneath and a light hint of citrus as the spice subsides. Long, smooth finish with good cinnamon and rye notes.
