Smokehead Rum Cask
Smokehead
Description
When Islay's rebel meets its rum-cask cousin, Smokehead's familiar peat punch gets a sweet and fiery Caribbean shake. Citrus and tropical fruit to calm things down. And is that marshmallow and bacon? ABV: 43% Nose: heavily punched peat aromas toasted with a strong saline presence, alongside a subtle molasses sweetness and salted caramel. Palate: citrus hits immediately, with touches of pineapple and orange zest, while the peat smoke is bolder and sharper than Smokehead Islay. The pepper is pleasant and short-lived on the palate, giving way to a smokier aftertaste as dried fruits emerge alongside the fresh.
