In the 19th century, hardworking farmers and distillers in the heart of America packaged and shipped their rye whiskies down the great Mississippi River to the bustling and growing city of New Orleans. These spicy, assertive spirits fuelled New Orleans’ whisky culture and established America’s first cocktail, the Sazerac. Nose: The fragrance is of clove, sweet vanilla, anise and pepper. Flavour: The taste has subtle notes of candy, spices and crisp citrus. Finish: The great finish is smooth with hints of liquorice.
