700ml presentation. Old Ballantruan single malt has a fairly unusual style for Speyside whiskies, made with heavily peated malted barley (30 ppm). This style is normally associated with Islay distilleries, but the trend — driven by high demand — is that the rest of Scotland’s distilleries are also increasingly using peat for malting. ABV: 50% Nose: Heather smoke balanced with subtle floral notes. Palate: Soft peaty flavours with hints of citrus and malty nuts.
