Amrut Cask Strength

Tasting Notes. Nose: Classic house style with glorious bourbon notes fused with the richest barley declarations; not altogether unlike a caramelized biscuit dunked in coffee; ah, and a bit of spicy attitude too. Palate: There we go with that singular bittersweet opening where oak and barley appear joined at the hip; lovely smooth oils and then a strong hit of blood orange citrus, which drops away to something more buttery and delicate. Finish: Long, elegant, with the most intricate fade-outs as the oaks show several bourbon characteristics and then buttery; there’s a trace of brown sugar and cocoa to help it on its way.
