🇯🇵 Japan
Akashi Heavily Peated Single Malt
Akashi
Description
Aged for over 3 years in selected first-fill American bourbon casks. The Seto Inland Sea region is an area with low rainfall, warm and comfortable, and considered to have the longest hours of sunshine in Japan. This allows the casks to release pleasant flavours into the whisky at an accelerated pace. ABV: 50%. Nose: Soft peat, full of malted caramel sweetness. Palate: Dry finish with sea salt and caramel sweetness at the close.
