Kilbeggan Distillery

Founded in 1757 on the banks of the River Brosna, Kilbeggan Distillery is one of the oldest licensed distilleries in the world and a cornerstone of Irish whiskey heritage. After closing in 1957 and being saved by a community-led restoration begun in 1982, it resumed distilling in 2007 and completed its grain-to-glass operations in 2010. Now owned by Suntory Global Spirits, it still distils with antique copper pot stills, including one of the oldest working pot stills in existence.
