Caol Ila Distillery

Founded in 1846 by Hector Henderson on the shore of the Sound of Islay, from which it takes its Gaelic name, it is today the largest distillery on Islay. While most of its output feeds blends like Johnnie Walker, its single malt is an Islay classic: clean citrus smoke, saline and oily.
