Bruichladdich Distillery

Founded in 1881 by the Harvey brothers on the shore of Loch Indaal, it is Scotland's most westerly distillery. Closed in 1994 and revived in 2001, it still runs Victorian kit without computers, making three styles: unpeated Bruichladdich, heavily peated Port Charlotte and extreme Octomore, plus The Botanist gin.
